Simplifying Education

Simplifying Education Management in India
Thomas Jefferson
“Every generation needs a revolution” – Thomas Jefferson
Educational system in India has undergone a revolutionary change after the Independence. Earlier the learning in the schools and colleges were restricted to text books, which is replaced by interactive classes.Technological advancement is to be credited for the educational revolution in India. Educational ERP has changed the face of the Indian educational system. It has simplified the complex educational structure in India, with its outstanding features.

The educational structure is very complicated in India, where the educational institutes have to perform a bunch of tasks that helps for smooth administration of the institute. It even happens that at times, the boundary separating the tasks of the teachers and the administrative staff blurs and overlaps each other. CollegeERP is an integrated system that centralizes all the internal and external activities related to the academics and administration, thus leading to a hassle free management of the tasks in educational institutes.

It is seen that the teachers sometimes have to keep a record of personal information of students like their birth date, progress report, family background, etc, which is very difficult in country like India, where the teacher-student ratio is 1:60, that makes nearly impossible for the teachers to give enough time and energy for doing their actual job i.e. teaching. Educational ERP howevermanagesthese tasks, with its centralized automated system. This system keeps the record, which otherwise teachers have to maintain, thus helping the teachers to devote more time in the class room, making it interactive.

College ERP is not only a blessing to the teachers, but also for the parents and students. Some ERPs provide an interactive medium to the students, teachers and parents. Nowadays, both parents work, so they can
hardly find time to visit the schools and talk to the teachers. However, with educational ERP parents can interactwith the teachers, as ERP offers them an interactive platform like a social networking site. With Educational ERP, the teachers can upload the progress report of the students, which the parents can see online, thus can keep a track of their children’s progress. The students can also communicate with their teachers and can increase their interaction with the teachers, thus bridging the gap between teachers and students.

The records sometimes due to the lack of maintenance or due to any accident gets lost, however Educational ERP is gives an answer to this problem. It is an integrated system, where all the information is documented and consolidated, thus providing a backup system for the records. These data can later beretrieved, through College ERP. Thus, it helps to manage the complicated records and get back to it easily whenever needed.

Administrative staffs of the educational institute are the ones who have benefitted the most from College ERP, as with this system, they no longer have to note down every trivial record of the students in the registers and do the book keeping. As this system is a centralized system, which is well linked with all the departments of the educational institutes, the records kept by the teachers is shared to the administrative staff and vice versa, thus reducing redundancy, making it less complicated to manage.

Educational ERP is an excellent system that is used for fees management and library management, which otherwise is a tedious task. The system manages an online library, from where the students can check the availability of the books, have an advanced booking for the book, etc. Moreover, the librarian can keep an accurate record of the books. College ERP also manages the fees; through this system the students can check their fees payments. Thus, we can say that educational ERP is a virtual accountant and librarian. Some cynics believe that the technology has made us very lazy, well it is up to us how we use the technology, and in the case of ERP it has made our life easy.
